Two militants dressed as doctors were shot dead after attacking a hospital in Kandahar, southern Afghanistan. At least one civilian was killed in the attack.
Militants Attack Hospital In Southern Afghanistan
Two militants who attacked a hospital in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar have been killed by Afghan security forces.
Samim Khpalwak, a spokesman for the provincial governor of Kandahar, said the target for the attack was the deputy governor, who was visiting the Kandahar Mirwais Hospital, a large regional facility that provides medical services to war victims, including members of the army and police.
One Afghan security officer was wounded in the clashes.
