Last Sunday a group of twenty hikers were robbed in the rainforest in Rio’s Tijuca National Park. One person was injured in the incident which was reported to the police. Twenty Hikers Robbed in Rio de Janeiro’s Tijuca Forest

A group of about twenty tourists were assaulted while hiking along a trail in the forest of Tijuca National Park yesterday afternoon (Sunday, January 8th). According to the PM (Polícia Militar or Military Police), they were approached by three armed men, who collected objects from the victims and managed to escape.
