On Saturday, a military judge was abducted while driving with his family between Takhar and Kunduz, in Kunduz. His family was released, but the judge and his body guard were taken by the gunmen. An investigation is under way.

Head of primary military court kidnapped in Kunduz

A security official in Kunduz confirmed that the head of the court was on his way from Takhar to Kunduz when he was abducted by unknown gunmen.

The official further added that the main motive behind his abduction is not clear yet and a search operation is underway for his release.

Hamid said the judge had been only 15km outside Kunduz city when his vehicle was stopped by unknown men.
He said Asiludin’s family and driver were allowed to leave the scene but Hamid and his bodyguard were abducted.
