The US Embassy in Yangon has issued a warning over a demonstration that will be held on Saturday in support of jailed Reuters journalists Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo.

The two men were investigating an attack on Rohingya villagers when they were arrested last September. They were carrying documents that they have always claimed were given to them by the police, and charged with obtaining state secrets. The verdict in their trial was due earlier this week, but was delayed due to the health of the judge.
