One of the more obvious pieces of advice – on National Pedestrian Day there will be disruption to transport in Bolivia. Bus services will be suspended and taxi numbers will be severely limited. Airport transfers could be harder to secure.

Make sure you plan your travel needs around this – if required, try to reschedule flights or other journeys. Enjoy the peace and quiet of traffic-free roads.

From the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office

There is a national pedestrian day on Sunday 2 September 2018. Bus services from La Paz will be suspended from 10:30pm on 1 September until 6pm on 2 September. A limited number of taxis will be given permits for emergencies and airport transfers.
