Latest Update: Summary Section – Tropical Cyclone warning
The Vanuatu Meteorology Department issued a tropical cyclone warning on 4 May 2017 for the whole of Vanuatu. Tropical cyclone Donna is currently located off the north-east coast of Vanuatu and is due to affect the provinces of Torba, Penama, Sanma and Malamba with damaging and destructive gale force winds from 4 May 2017 onwards.
Hazardous sea and weather conditions could lead to flooding, especially in low lying areas, and landslides throughout the whole of Vanuatu. You should monitor the progress of this tropical cyclone and follow the advice of the local authorities.
